How did you originally get into plush making?
My grandmother taught me to sew, by hand, when I was around two years old and we made two piece bears; she showed me how to make patterns so that I could try to make different animals. She passed away from cancer when I was around five, but I have the memories of how I enjoyed making them with her, which keeps me making them today.

Pixelled Sugar — it has a nice ring to it! What inspired the brand name?
I used to make pixel art and had a joke with a friend about how sugar is already pixelated, so when naming my plushie shop, I thought it would be cute and related to my past art.

How long does it take to make a plushie?
The time it takes varies in size, but a 6"-9" takes me about 1-2 hours to hand sew. Larger ones like 16" take about 6-10 hours, so a few days as I don't sit and do it all in one go.

What is the most gratifying feedback you've received from a customer?
One customer told me their dog got ahold of their plush, but my seam work was so good that it didn't fall apart at all, it also machine washed up just fine and is still holding strong.
